PUBLIC WORKS--SEASONAL

 College Township is accepting applications for one part-time seasonal employee in the Public Works Department. Duties include a variety of lawn and grounds maintenance at the Township’s office building, Public Works Facility, post office and parks and include mowing grass, weeding and trimming shrubbery.

Qualified applicants will be able to perform manual labor such as shoveling, raking, lifting, and operate power hand tools and lawnmowers as well as perform basic maintenance on lawnmowers including tractors. The workweek for this position is dependent on weather and is not a guaranteed 40-hour week. Seasonal work begins in May and ends in October.

A minimum of one year of experience in lawn and grounds maintenance or related area is preferred. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and pass a physical examination and background check. Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Drivers License with good driving record.

Starting pay is $12.50 to $13.25 per hour DOE.
