REMINDER - College Township Seeking Public Input on Future Pedestrian Facilities
ONE WEEK REMAINING - Provide Your Input On the Pedestrian Facilities Needs In College Township
College Township has begun the process of developing a township-wide Pedestrian Facilities Master Plan. This plan aims to build upon the foundation laid by the Township’s 2018 Sidewalk Master Plan, along with the Centre Region Bike Plan, to identify and prioritize projects that fill connectivity gaps in the Township’s sidewalk and multi-use path network.
The Township is requesting public input to help identify the highest priority pedestrian facility needs for the future. College Township will welcome public input during a 60-day public input period that will run from Monday, August 2, 2021, through Thursday, September 30, 2021.
To aid in this solicitation of input, the Township has developed an interactive mapping tool that will allow citizens to draw proposed connections and make specific comments on the network from the comfort of their own homes. To access the mapping application, please scan the QR code at the end of this press release or click HERE.
For those more comfortable providing input using hard copy maps, the Township will have a public mapping station at the College Township Municipal Building at 1481 East College Avenue in State College. This mapping station will be available on weekdays from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm during the public input period.
Questions regarding the development of the Pedestrian Facilities Master Plan can be directed to Mike Bloom, Management Analyst at firstname.lastname@example.org or 814-272-1093.
