The 2020-2021 State College Area School District tax bills will be billed on August 1, 2020.  The due date for the discount amount is on or before September 30, 2020.  We do go by postmark.  The installment plan is still in effect.  With the 1st installment payment being due September 1, 2020.  It must be received by September 1 to qualify for the installment plan.  The 2nd installment is due November 1, 2020, and the 3rd December 1, 2020.  There also has been no increase in the millage rate.  Your bill should be the same amount as last year.  If you do not receive your bill, you can contact the Tax Office and we can mail you a copy.  Any questions can be directed to or by phone at 814-231-3021 ext. 2201.  Thank you.  

Local Earned Income Tax Filing Due date:  State legislation was passed late last week authorizing the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to coordinate with local political subdivisions to extend filing and payment deadlines for the Local Earned Income Tax.  The legislation extends the 2019 Earned Income & Net Profits Tax (EIT) return/payment due date and the 2020 1st Quarter Estimated Declaration payment due dates until July 15, 2020.

Discount Date for College Township Real Estate Taxes

To receive the 2% discount for payment of your College Township Municipal Real Estate Tax bill, the township must receive payment on or before Thursday, April 30, 2020. Although the office is closed, payments may be placed in our payment drop box beside the front door at 1481 E College Avenue, State College PA 16801. Payments may also be mailed. Please note the envelope must contain a valid USPS postmark dated on or before April 30, 2020. If you need a receipt, please provide a self-addressed stamped envelope or an email address. Under the authority of the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the governing body of College Township imposes the following taxes: Real Estate Tax, Earned Income Tax, Local Services Tax, Amusement Tax, Real Estate Transfer Tax, and a Parking Tax. The parking tax rate is currently set at $0.
