  • College Township performs monthly (weather permitting) brush collection and fall and spring leaf collection events. Collection dates are advertised on the Township website under the Public Works Department, and posted on the Township's website calendar. A seasonal information handout (PDF) is also available, and a public service announcement video on brush and leaf collection guidelines.

  • A grass recycling bin is located at Spring Creek Park.  Directions: Turn off East College Avenue onto Puddintown Road.  Follow Puddintown Road past Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, the dairy, and the quonset hut.  Turn onto Balmoral Rd.  Take first left into the Spring Creek Park parking lot.  The grass recycling bin is in the parking lot area.  Grass clippings only.

  • Interim tax bills are typically generated as a result of the following two related events, which have created the need to retroactively calculate and bill you for additional tax that is now due:

    1. Centre County Assessment Office has increased the assessed value of your property, and
    2. The increase is effective during a 12 month annual property tax billing cycle(described below)for which you have already been billed.

    Most increases are due to the occupancy/completion of structure or improvement to your land, whether it be the construction of a new home, an out building, or some other structure. Please contact the Centre County Assessment Office at (814) 355-6721 to find out:

    1. the reason for the increase, and
    2. the effective date of the increase.

  • No, College Township does not issue property tax rebates.

    However, the State College Area Board of School Directors has established a Supplemental Property Tax Rebate Program in past years for senior citizens, widows, widowers, and disabled persons who meet certain income eligibility guidelines and who are homeowners.
