University Area Joint Authority (UAJA)
The University Area Joint Authority (UAJA) owns and operates the Spring Creek Pollution Control Facility, treats and disposes of sanitary sewage, which is conveyed to it by the sewage collections systems owned by UAJA. UAJA membership is comprised of one appointee from each of the participating municipalities. The Authority Board appoints an individual as Executive Director who manages the Authority. The Authority operates autonomously from the Township Council. Representative members are appointed to five-year terms. The Authority meets once a month.
